ABOUT

A clearer path, rooted in what matters most.

Shoreglass began on the shores of Lake Erie, at Magee Marsh — a place where the noise fades and things come into focus.

Good financial planning can feel the same way: sorting through the pieces, bringing clarity to what matters, and moving forward without rushing.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

My grandfather passed away when I was young. He was incredibly kind and gentle, happiest outside with his dog, and truly couldn’t hurt a fly. As I got older, I missed him — and I missed feeling connected to him.

So I started spending time at one of his favorite places, Magee Marsh, wandering the shoreline with my own dog. On one of those first walks, an older man with that same gentle way about him asked if I’d found any lucky stones yet. I hadn’t. Before we went our separate ways, he handed me the one he’d found that day. I had it made into a necklace, and I still have it today.

I still return to the marsh whenever my brain feels especially noisy. Searching the sand for beach glass and lucky stones quiets everything else — it’s just the shoreline, the water, and whatever happens to be waiting there.

Financial lives can feel noisy too: accounts, decisions, goals, opinions, headlines. Shoreglass exists to quiet some of that noise — to sort through the pieces with you, bring clarity to what matters, and build a plan grounded in your real life.

It started with a lucky stone.

FOUNDER + FINANCIAL PLANNER

Fee-only financial planning and investment management · Toledo-based

I work with individuals and families who want thoughtful planning, coordinated decisions, and an ongoing relationship with a planner who sees the bigger picture.

My approach is collaborative and practical. You’ll understand the decisions we make, why they matter, and how they connect to the life you’re building — whether that’s investments, retirement, taxes, cash flow, insurance, estate coordination, or a complicated decision when life changes.

I take the work seriously. I just don’t think the experience has to feel stiff, intimidating, or overly complicated.

OUTSIDE OF THE NUMBERS

Calm, connection, and room to breathe.

When I’m not working, I’m usually doing something that gets me out of my head and into the moment: Pilates, wandering a park or the zoo with my husband and son, trying a new coffee spot, or hanging out with our aging pit bull, Harold — who has fully earned the right to move at his own pace.

(My husband and I joke that we run the “Ciancutti Family Retirement Home.” We can’t resist a senior dog.)

A walk, a coffee, a little adventure, and nowhere to rush off to next — those ordinary days are a big part of why Shoreglass feels the way it does.
